Telehealth therapy for inquisitive folks.

Therapy from the comfort of your own home (or anywhere)

Mental health therapy can be challenging to work into our schedule. For many, telehealth has bridged that gap of accessibility: no commute, no baby sitter, no extra time off of work.

Telehealth with us is casual. Pets are always welcome. Your kids may interrupt: that's okay!

Grab a cup of tea, get cozy, and let's talk.

Soma-what?

Somatics describes the practice of "perceiving the body from within". By using the mind-body connection to survey and listen to your internal body signals, this allows us to explore any pain, discomfort, or stress we may be holding. As we access these natural parts of ourselves, we can find greater peace within the body and mind.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a type of therapy centered around somatics. Certified SE Practitioners receive 3 years of training in order to meet this designation.

About Emily

Emily Elliott, MA, LMHC, CCMHC, PMH-C

Therapist-Practice Owner

As your therapist, it is vital for me to see the world through your eyes and lived experiences. I view the therapy space as a collaborative experience and enjoy utilizing creative concepts including EMDR, yoga, Brainspotting, mindfulness, and movement/somatics in addition to traditional talk therapy. Safety is key when working with a new therapist, and it is my job to ensure every client feels supported in the therapy space. My specializations include perinatal mental health, trauma, parenting, recovery, eating issues, sexuality, and gender.

I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in religious studies and Northwestern University with a Master of Counseling. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I am in the process of becoming a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I completed my first yoga teacher training (YTT-200) in 2013 and received my She Recovers Yoga Teacher Designation in 2019.

Emily is able to see clients in Iowa and Arizona and accepts Wellmark/BCBS and United/UBH insurance

I will work with insured clients to determine your copay and whether your deductible for the year has been met from the very beginning. If you are uninsured or a self pay client , we will complete a "Good Faith Estimate" as required by the "No Surprises Act".
